Legislated in 2003, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) provide a new Health Care alternative for employers, and more importantly for individuals. HSAs are tax-favored IRA-type accounts that are offered in conjunction with a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) that allow the individuals to pay for certain medical expenses.
